SO THIS GUY GOES FOR A WALK
This will be my first impression on "Young Goodman Brown" by Nathaniel Hawthorne. Just by taking a glance at the reading it seems like it will be a very detailed story maybe a lot of events occurring. There is a lot you can take from the first couple of paragraphs. For example, "And Faith, as the wife was aptly named..." I feel like this sentence does a little foreshadowing. It makes it seem like the word faith and the wife have a big significance to this story. Also how they describe the wife's pink ribbons repeatedly symbolizes that it will be very important to the story although we don't know how yet. It was also weird how they started the story with the husband and wife saying goodbye to each other it makes me curious like are they ever going to see each other again? Is this there last goodbye?
