THE FIRST 5O PAGES
OK so I just started reading Harry Potter, mmm let me tell you I don't really understand what the hype is about. Maybe because so many people talk so much about it and talk so highly about it. They over hyped it. Honestly the first 50 pages weren't that bad but its not something that I cant wait to read, you know? I know a lot of people are like super fans about Harry Potter even my younger brother is but it hasn't really gotten all my attention. The reason I chose this book to begin with is because my bestfriend Dennise really loves Harry Potter and she's always talking about it so I thought why not give it a chance. So far the most important (in my opinion) part about the first pages are that he finds out he's a wizard and everyone's been hiding it from him for so long and hes about to leave to Hogwarts. I mean I guess its probably a cliché you know "we were only doing it to protect you" type of thing. But in reality why would he need to be protected, who wouldn't want to be a wizard with all sorts of magic. Anyways that's besides the point but so far I think what im really interested in knowing is why Harry's parents HAVE to die. Like is he going to become Batman? You know his parents were killed and he became this great superhero, is this going to happen to Harry and is he supposed to fulfill this great destiny? I don't know maybe just another cliché or maybe not. I'm looking forward to seeing if this book turns out different from what im assuming right now.
