• Its the belief in you that's worth celebrating and that's genius its not the actual thought itself.
• Because we think less of ourselves we think no one else will care

First impression: I think Emerson understood more of what people were thinking in their own minds. He put into words what no one else said but what everyone else felt. He was better able to capture our (the readers) attention by adding a latin phrase which many people can associate with and what brings curiosity to the reader on what it means. Many people have gone through what Emerson has said about thinking less of ourselves and then that having us have a discourage within ourselves and it stops us from saying or doing something we actually were going to in the first place and when someone else has the same idea its just like wow really? You yourself and your own discouragement is what stopped you from that.
