1.  He was an officer and she was a popular girl where he was stationed and they had a love affair and he wanted to marry her but he got shipped off somewhere else.

The questions I chose were mostly to assure that people knew who the characters were because it got confusing trying to keep up. As well as knowing some of the things I think were more important and some which I think might later come up in the story.
