After reading a VERY long piece of writing I can agree that when people state their opinion and they are confronted with counterarguments they don't think about if they might be wrong they do just want to take offense because many people don't like to be wrong.
Having your own opinion also comes with somewhat of restrictions.
"We have no duty to let others keep their opinions.
On the contrary, we often have a duty to try to change them. "I definitely agree with this because when ever people argue I seem to notice that it isn't always about whos write or whos wrong but changing someones perspective.
