I feel like the Socratic Method is more of a free open response. Its like an open book getting a more deep into perspective of other people. While reading this it got me thinking a lot outside the box and now I know it might seem crazy but I really think whoever wrote this works for the government or the FBI or CIA trying to find out how high school students think in order to manipulate them into however the government wants them to think just like ads on Instagram, Facebook, and even snapchat.
It is true that in a "regular" classroom where students are just told what to do and how much into depth they should really think, it doesn't expand a students way of thinking. It is just the same thing over and over again. Students don't really learn in school anymore, I think its more about memorizing things for a while in order to pass a test but students don't really learn anything that'll help them in their everyday lives.
I think the Socratic method is a more fun way to learn. I think it opens up students and it helps them with reaching further into their thoughts. Being able to share your opinions without feeling like you are wrong is probably much better then feeling like you are constantly forced to keep your thoughts in.
